Roland Mouret

Celebrating 20 years in design in 2017, Roland Mouret is best known for his iconic dresses – known by a single name – Galaxy, Moon, Titanium and Pigalle – yet the designer is celebrated among his clients for separates, specifically tops that flatter and beautifully fitted trousers, keeping things modern for women’s complex lives. His sharp tailoring and precise fit have earned him the title ‘Master of the Silhouette’, attributed to his ability to create a second-skin, or modern armour, to empower women.

“What needs to be iconic is the woman, not the dress” Roland Mouret

The collections are best discovered in the two Roland Mouret maisons; beautiful boutiques, which, in the highest manner of dressmaking, have ateliers on the premises. The first of these is at 8 Carlos Place, in London’s Mayfair, the second, the Manhattan townhouse, on New York’s Madison Avenue.

The brand, relaunched in 2006 in partnership with Simon Fuller’s XIX entertainment, is sold in over 40 countries, in the best multibrand boutiques and department stores in the world. Now including leather goods, shoes, as well as bridal, Roland Mouret recently expanded into fragrance in December 2017 with “Une Amourette”, the result of a collaboration with irreverent Parisian perfume house, Etat Libre d’Orange.
