This hand-cast bronze Wellness Talisman is designed to provide comfort and grounding through touch. Inspired by both ancient female forms found at Ġgantija in Gozo and the healing power of mindful objects, it was created from lived experience and deep consultation with mindfulness practitioners, artists, and those with mental health challenges.

It began with a small piece of metal — something to hold during meditation. The calming weight and warmth of the material led to further exploration, and ultimately to this thoughtfully sculpted form: smooth, stylised, and perfectly sized to fit in the palm or slip into a pocket.

Design Features

• Double-Sided Tactility: One side is smooth, offering a reflective, mirror-like surface for calming strokes. The other features a gentle cracked texture for tracing — a subtle nod to healing and imperfection.

• Human Form: The body-shaped silhouette evokes ancient fertility figures — comforting, familiar, and symbolically rich.

• Warmth & Weight: Bronze is chosen for its durability, fast warmth retention, and symbolic blend of metals — representing the many paths to well-being.

The Making Process

Hand-carved from wax and cast using the lost wax process, each talisman is a unique piece. The original design was refined through feedback, emphasizing both tactility and emotional connection. Only minimal finishing is applied to each reproduction, allowing the surface to develop a natural patina unique to each owner, based on how it’s touched and held.
