Midnight Visions Scarf

by Luke Azzopardi

The Midnight Visions scarf uses elements from 19th century orientalist paintings showing visions of Djinn, invisible creatures in early pre-Islamic Arabia which often appear in a hallucinatory way. The scarf includes text from Romantic poet John Keats’s Ode to a Nightingale, in which he describes an out-of-body experience of ecstasy and is left asking if it was ‘a vision of a walking dream?’
