Joseph Magro Conti holds a BA (Hons) in Archaeology (University of Malta), a PG Certificate in Heritage Management and Conservation (Università del Mediterraneo, La Sapienza, Rome), and a Masters Degree in Heritage Management (University of York). Joseph has 38 years experience in the field of heritage management and archaeology, having started as a volunteer, and then spending 25 years at the Planning Authority in managerial posts, followed by 3 years as Superintendent of Cultural Heritage. He is currently an advisor at the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government. Joseph researches, publishes, lectures, and participates in conferences, television and radio programmes on Maltese heritage and management.
