Francis Sultana

Ambassador of Culture for Malta, Francis Sultana is one of the world’s foremost interior and furniture designers, regularly appearing in Top 100 lists in Architectural Digest magazine (USA, Italy and France) and House & Garden and Wallpaper magazines (UK). Originally from Gozo, Francis now divides his time between Valletta and London, where his atelier is based. Francis is also CEO of David Gill Gallery, one of the world’s leading contemporary art and design galleries.

In 2009 Francis co-founded the Design Fund for the Victoria & Albert Museum and now sits on the museum’s Advisory Council. He is co-head of the Cultural and Social Affairs Committee of the Serpentine Galleries and sits on the International Council. He is a member of the International Council for the Design Museum, London. Former Co-President of the Jury of PAD London, he is a member of both the jurys for PAD Paris and PAD London.

In 2019 Francis published his first large format book, Francis Sultana: Designs & Interiors, published worldwide by Vendôme. A new book is currently in production with Rizzoli and charts Francis’s custodianship of the National Trust landmark historic house and garden, King Henry VIII’s Hunting Lodge.
